Click Profile/User Settings to access the Profile page in a new window. You can also access your settings by clicking Profile/User Settings in the blue log-in side bar on the right.
You can exit to the Home Page anytime by clicking Visit Site on the top of the page.
CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD – Cut & Paste or drag your password from your registration email to the password entry box. Then you’ll probably want to make a quick trip to Profile/User Settings to change your password to something secure, but infinitely more memorable. Click Update Profile on the bottom of the Profile page to save your new password.
AVATARS are those little member photos that appear by Comments and elsewhere. Feel free to choose a photo of yourself at about the age of your stories. Scroll down to Avatar Upload. Click Browse to select a photo. It’s suggested you crop and upload a square picture. If you don’t, our Avatar droid will stretch and/or squash your face to make it square. It will be funny, but not pretty.
Then click Update Profile on the bottom of the page.
SUBSCRIPTIONS are optional email notifications when a story posts in one of your chosen categories. To subscribe, under Email Preferences, check Accept to recieve post or page notification emails. (Yes, we know received is misspelled. It came coded into the software that way. It bugs the hell out of us. Eventually we’ll hunt it down and correct it. There are hundreds of other things right now that have a higher priority. We’re just happy we got it working right.)
Anyway, after your click on the misspelled box, click Update Profile on the bottom of the Profile page. Then, on the left side bar, click Subscriptions. You’ll be be whisked away to Notification Settings. Check/Uncheck the categories you wish to be notified for. When you’re done, click Update Preferences on the bottom of the page.
